First, let me thank you for visiting my website and blog! As an east coast native and child of the 70s/80s, I have always pushed to know more of the world and the reason for my existence. For years as a teenager and young adult, I wrestled and accepted things at face value from family, teachers and the church. I believed because of what I was told without test nor trial.

In college I found myself challenged and was unable to justify my entire belief system. As a result, I took everything and tossed it out the window and began rebuilding myself. With a degree in philosophy and theology, I worked through my human condition and entrenched my faith and view of reality. Yet, this journey is still incomplete! I continue to dig, research, study, ponder and discuss my ethics and morality and also that ultimate question, “What is the meaning of life?” I strongly believe there is a higher good that we should be striving for. It can take our entire life to reach this, but none the less, I continue to climb to that goal.

I believe there is a one true God, and He connected with us through his son, Jesus Christ. This is one truth that I will not waiver on as in my heart, I have felt his spirit move me. As you read these articles, I understand that you may not believe in God, accept Christianity or find value in faith. I respect that. I only ask that you keep an open mind and challenge yourself daily. Test your beliefs and if you feel lost, know that you are not alone. Many of us feel lost through a majority of our lives.

These articles are meant to challenge and encourage you as you toil in the human condition. Share your thoughts, agreements and absolutely share your disagreements as you read! I welcome all opinions and beliefs.

One of my favorite lines comes from the movie, Galaxy Quest. I think it is a simple motto, but very powerful:

“Never give up. Never surrender!”
